Ona is receiving residential care at a hospital for her SEMH needs. She has been there for several weeks.

Our Welfare Team have worked with the local authority SEND team, her parents, the key teacher at the hospital, her therapist and the SENDCo at the school she is on roll at, to create a bespoke education plan.

We have provided her with two tutors whose academic teaching experience and SEMH experience mean that they are able to help her stay on top of learning while remaining sensitive to, and aware of, her SEMH needs. There were times when Ona's health made it not possible for her to have tuition but

In order to continue to provide the level of support she requires, our Welfare Team and her tutors will attend her planning and strategy meetings with the Team Around the Child. We hope to be involved in her transition back to school, when this becomes possible.
