Course Overview

There has been a significant increase in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs among young people across the educational landscape. This rise has been exacerbated by COVID-19 disruptions, post-pandemic re-engagement, and the ongoing cost of living crisis. As a result, more young people are exhibiting SEMH symptoms than ever before.

Our experience has demonstrated:

There was a 93.6% increase in SEMH referrals to us in 2023.

By the end of 2023, 45.3% of all our referrals were for young people with SEMH needs.

We recognise the challenges local authorities face in finding providers with appropriately skilled staff to support these young people. At Targeted Provision, we are addressing this by upskilling our team of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) tutors through the launch of a bespoke, CPD-certified SEMH training course.
