Dr Joanna Simm, Independent Educational Psychologist
Dr Joanna Simm is a chartered educational psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council. She currently works in a range of schools including primary, secondary and residential specialist provision schools. She has been practicing as an educational psychologist since 2000, the first ten years of which she worked for a Local Authority psychology team. She has been working independently since 2011.
Joanna works with state schools, independent schools and individuals to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people with a range of learning, social and emotional and mental health needs. She works with Looked After Children and is experienced in applying for, devising and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans.
Joanna works with education and care staff to ensure that the young people in their care make the best possible progress in all aspects of their development. She provides training and supervision. She also does Expert Witness work. Further information can be found on her website www.eps-cumbria.com.
